Tudor, Rolex’s sister brand, has been making Submariner's since 1954, starting with the reference 7922. They were conceived as a moderately priced alternative to the Rolex Submariner and were eventually discontinued in 1999. The 75090 that we have here is the smaller sibling to the larger 79090.

The 75090 replaced the 76000, the first watch bearing the Submariner moniker to be made in 36mm. Produced between 1990 and 1995 Tudor now offered this watch on a jubilee as well as the usual 9315 folded Oyster bracelet. Another great feature these watches posses is the use of sapphire glass. Originally introduced in 1987 on the 76000, the larger 79190 wouldn't get this upgrade until 1995.

This watch had an interesting start to its life, gifted by Rolex to the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution), which, for our oversees friends, is a charity here in the UK. The watch was used as a prize for a charity ball in 1993. The winner of the watch didn't wear it for 29 years before selling the watch to its second and current owner in 2022.

The piece is in excellent condition, with minimal wear. The bracelet is also in equally good condition with almost no stretch.

The watch is as complete as they come. The punched papers are stamped Rolex Watch Company as you would expect and the outer box packaging box addresses to Rolex is still present.

The watch was serviced a year ago and is still running perfectly.
