The Tudor Snowflake Submariner has carved out a niche for itself, drawing comparisons with its Rolex siblings - the renowned 5513 and 1680 models. In late 1969, Tudor released the 7021, the first Tudor Sub with a date function. In 1973, a new generation of Snowflakes was rolled out; the ref. 9411/0 as we see here and the ref. 9401 two years later, both now housing the hacking ETA movements.
The example we have here dates to 1978 and still retains its original blue dial. Some peeling around the rehaut between 6 and 8 markers and to the right of the date wheel can be seen in the photos although not particularly noticeable when wearing. The lume on the hands and dial is all original. The case remains supremely strong on this example, and the original blue insert has faded slightly. The bracelet is a correct 9315/380 which is one link short but will accommodate an 18.5cm wrist. The clasp is a service replacement dated W5 (May 95).
The watch comes with its inner and outer box, booklet, translation papers, several service receipts dating back to 1984 and its wallet.
The watch has just been serviced and is beating healthily at +4 s/d, 255 amps, with a 0.1 ms beat error. These Tudor snowflakes are so cool and still represent incredible value as compared to their Rolex counterparts.
