The 168000 is somewhat of an enigma, it's a watch that most enthusiasts have only stumbled upon after years of collecting, our Founder openly admits when he first laid eyes on one, he thought the collector had made a typo. The 168000 was the first watch to be made in 904L steel, this is actually the only differentiating factor between the 168000 and the 16800.
Rolex after only nine months came out with the new reference, the 16610 which had an upgraded movement and the 168000 was retired to the history books. Rolex took a twelve year hiatus before they used a six digit reference again, making this the first reference to have that honour.
This example is as sharp as they come, the case is in exceptional condition as is the bracelet, the dial is starting to see some star dusting and the markers are ageing nicely. the serial is a 96*** so is bang in for this model. The watch comes with its original box, papers, wallet, booklets, anchor and guarantee booklet.
