This Rolex Daytona 16528 marks an important chapter in Rolex's history - the Zenith era - creating a blend of Rolex's iconic design language and the technical prowess of Zenith - this particular reference boasting an 18K Yellow Gold construction and a contrasting black dial.

Housing the El Primero movement, which Zenith had expertly crafted, the movement operated at a frequency of 36,000 A/h, however Rolex made over 150 modifications to this movement, reducing its beat rate and removing the date function, thereby creating the Rolex caliber 4030. 

This reference, the 16528, is the solid gold variant of the 16500 series. This example boasts the black mk3 'inverted 6' dial with wonderfully creamy baton markers. The case is still super sharp as is the mk3 bezel. 

The watch comes with its original full link 78398 Oyster bracelet that is stamped V2, denoting its manufacture in Feb 96. The movement is in exceptional health 0,4 beat error, +2 secs a day and at 300 amps.
