Omega have spent the last fifty odd years commemorating mankind's successful voyage to the Moon. They have made many iterations of 'Moonwatch' but for this one, they decided to preempt one of space explorations biggest challenges, sending people to Mars.
Launched in 2004 at the Baselworld international watch and jewellery show, Omega showcased this 'From the Moon to Mars' model, an unlimited numbered series which was eventually discontinued in 2012 after some 6000 examples were made.
The watch has three printed subdials showing the Earth, Moon and Mars, the actual number is then engraved into the caseback.
The watch comes with its original box, card holder and has its service receipt from October 2022 confirming it had a full movement service. Condition wise, it shows some handling marks but minimal wear.
The watch looks superb on both its 1998/849 bracelet and the black calf skin strap we have chosen.
