It's hardly a secret that we love vintage CWCs here at Fathom. While we have several divers issued to the SBS and Royal Navy for sale from the late 80s and early 90s, CWC, in fact, first won the contract to become a watch supplier to the MOD in the early 70s. The watch we present for sale here, the W10-6645-99, was issued to the British Military during this time and is a testament to the toughness, robustness, and legibility of CWC military watches. The tonneau-shaped case houses an ETA 2750 movement with hacking second. The circle T on the dial signifies the usage of tritium lume, which aged to a rich, creamy hue on the dial, whereas the broad arrow proudly showcases its military heritage.
The case is in great shape and the dial is pristine with no signs of water ingress. It comes on a Phoenix nato strap on its fix-lug case, which in itself is worth easily 3 digits. The movement has been freshly checked over and is running perfectly at 0 s/d, 275 amps, with a 0.2 ms beat error.
When the world of watch collecting is heading more and more towards luxury, these fantastically built military watches still represent incredible value and are truly a joy to wear and enjoy.
